CHILDREN'S CLASSES For kids in
grades 1-6, our WOW program focuses on teaching the children skills which
can be used in service to others. Because we want to keep class sizes
small to provide adequate instruction and assistance, we request that
children only bring visitors on designated visitor nights. We offer two,
four week sessions so that children can experience two different service
experiences. For the winter semester, our offerings are as follows: Choices for grades 1-3: - Gardening – Children will make miniature gardens to give to others. Leader: Rick Helm. Limited to 8 children. Will meet in May hall. - Cooking – Children will make food items to give to others. Leader: Cathy Wendell. Limited to 8 children. Will meet in the old kitchen. - Woodworking – Children will make wooden bowls to give to others. Leader: Dave Schwab. Limited to 8 children. Will meet in May hall. Choice for grades 4-6: - Sports Ministry – Children will learn good sportsmanship as they participate in various sports activities. Leader: Bill Wendell, Jr. Limited to 8 children. Will meet in the activity center. - Scrapbooking - Mission Activities The children gather for dinner at 5:30 in the Activity Center, and then are dismissed at 6:15 to go to classes. At 7:15, the children gather in the choir room for closing activities. Children are to be picked up at 7:30 pm from the choir room.
