Dr. Bryan George. Senior Pastor Bryan has served Church of the Lakes since the summer of 1996. Bryan is a graduate of Ohio Northern University, the Candler School of Theology at Emory University (M.Div.) and received his doctorate at Asbury Theological Seminary. Previous pastorates include Cuyahoga Falls First United Methodist (Associate Pastor) and Lorain First United Methodist. He and his wife Amy have three children; Joelle, Luke and Stacy. |

Janet Zimmerman. Director of Christian Education. Janet has served Church of the Lakes since March of 2000. She and her husband Jim have one daughter, Debbie. Janet is a graduate of Malone college, and has her MA in Christian Ministries from Wheaton College. |

Jan Boston. Organist. Jan has served Church of the Lakes since October, 1991 and is not only accomplished on our Kegg Pipe Organ but is also an excellent piano player. Jan teaches in the Lake School District. Jan and her husband Bob have three children.

Julie Geiser, Director of Sanctuary Music Julie and her husband Bruce have been involved in a variety of ministries of Church of the Lakes for the last fourteen years. Julie has participated in the Chancel Choir, Bells, and Disciple Bible Study. Bruce and Julie are the parents of three daughters, Madeline, Olivia, and Lucy. Julie has been involved with music all of her life. Her father was a church choir director and at an early age she excelled at violin and voice. In high school she was the concertmaster for Akron Youth Symphony and the Cleveland Institute of Music Youth Orchestra. While Julie was at Yale University, she was the director of the premier women’s a cappella touring group. |

Lynda Sage. Director of Contemporary Music. Lynda and her husband Mike have led the CBJ Contemporary Service since July of 2000. Lynda and Mike have two children; Chris and Angela. |

Dr. L. Mark George. Minister of Membership Care. Mark is in his fifty-fifth year of ministry and is in his tenth year as part time Minister of Membership Care at the Church of the Lakes where he assists his son, Bryan. Mark retired from the active ministry in 1995 after serving for eleven years as Administrative Assistant to the Bishop in the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Previous appointments included twenty six years as a local church pastor and four years as a District Superintendent. He is a graduate of Asbury College and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He received his Honorary Doctor's degree from Asbury College in 1985. He has been married for fifty-five years to his wife, Gaynalee. They are the parents of three adult children and the grandparents of seven grandchildren. |

Diana Mayer. Secretary. A native of England, Diana has served Church of the Lakes since 1998. She enjoys spending time with her husband Johnny and two children; Stephanie and Nicholas.

Cara Schroeder. Youth Director. Cara has served Church of the Lakes since 1997. A graduate of Kent State University, Cara and her husband Paul have a son, Grant and a daughter, Katherine Rose.

Bill Wendell. Small Group Coordinator. Bill became our Small Group Coordinator in 1997 and has extensive experience in small group formation and function. Bill has been a practicing attorney for 25 years.

Lisa Wright. Child Care Center Director. Lisa started the Child Care Center in 1998. Having been raised at Church of the Lakes, the Center gives Lisa a chance to realize a vision to serve the children of the area. Lisa and her husband John have two children; Lauren and Johnny.

Nancy Pierson Volunteer Coordinator As Volunteer Coordinator, Nancy assists members in identifying and using their gifts for ministry, works with new members to discern where they might exercise their gifts, and organizes methods of recognition and affirmation for volunteers through special events to give thanks. Nancy and her husband, Rob, have one son, Danny.
